Families will stand in remembrance of Pauline who sadly took her life in May 2008. “We will never forget her.”

The Mikey Powell Campaign for Justice was established by the family of Michael Lloyd Powell (known as Mikey), following his death.

An event to mark what would have been Mikey Powell’s 45th birthday, and to showcase other families that have suffered the loss of a loved one in police, prison or psychiatric custody. The event will also pay tribute to Tony Egbuna Ford and others facing capital punishment in the United States.

Pauline Campbell last saw her 18-year-old daughter Sarah as she was led from Mold Crown Court on a Friday morning to start a three-year jail sentence for manslaughter. By the Saturday evening Sarah was dead, killed by a self-administered overdose of prescription antidepressants, despite telling prison warders what she had done.
