Pauline regularly wrote articles herself, and as a result of her campaign work (notably that of stopping prison transporter vans from entering prisons), she was frequently interviewed by the press. Pauline used the media to maximum effect in order to raise awareness of the frequent deaths in women’s prisons. She also supported many other individuals, families and campaigns fighting to address injustices arising from other deaths in custody.
